NICK receives a call from his uncle WU KOON CHAK asking for his approval of a loan made to truck-driver SUEN MAN HOI. NICK investigates into HOI’s financial status and rejects the application. HOI visits his daughter SUEN SAU SAU at CHAK’s art studio and blames him for referring his application to NICK. CHAK drives SAU to school, but feeling a sharp pain in her stomach, SAU is hurried to hospital. CHAK’s meddled explanation of his relationship with SAU arouses the hospital’s suspicion.
